How does a made-to-measure piece come about?
It begins with a personal conversation about your wishes, your ideas and your style. Together we choose the fabric and discuss every detail, then we take your measurements. So that you can picture your piece clearly, we visualise it with a sketch or on a model. Your measurements become your own pattern, drafted by hand, which we refine over several fittings until everything fits perfectly.
How many fittings does a dress or a women's suit need?
For a fully bespoke piece we plan at least three and at most five fittings. Anna K. Milojevic Keller and her team take care of the fittings, and at each one we refine your pattern until everything fits perfectly.
How long does it take from the first meeting to the finished piece?
In the normal course of things, three to four weeks. If it is urgent, we can also work faster.
How early should I come for a bridal gown or an evening dress?
The work on a bridal gown takes at least three to four weeks, and there are many fittings. So please plan your bridal gown at least three to four months before the wedding. For an evening dress, three to four weeks are usually enough.
Can I bring my own fabric?
No, we work exclusively with fabrics from our own stock. It holds more than 1,000 special one-off pieces, including many vintage fabrics, exceptional lace and fine leathers. Each fabric comes as a single length of three to five metres, and each exists only once.
Do you also work with leather?
Yes. Our fabric stock also includes fine leathers, from which we make your piece to measure. As with all our fabrics, many of them exist only once.
Can something new be made from a favourite piece?
Yes, and it matters a great deal to us. Many clients own a large wardrobe full of favourite pieces they have already worn a few times. Bring your pieces to the atelier, or we come to you at home, and we show you what they could become. That way new fabric does not always have to be bought. The dress Anna K. Milojevic Keller wore on the Green Carpet was once a completely different dress: we took it apart entirely and tailored it anew.
